Visual Intelligent Disaster Prevention System for Bangkok Metro
This project focuses on the maintenance facilities of the Bangkok Metropolitan Rapid Transit (MRT). The unique environment of these facilities includes high ceilings, reaching over ten meters, and semi-outdoor spaces. Such characteristics make traditional fire protection systems less effective in preventing and managing fire incidents. Solution Overview The Bangkok MRT Blue Line and Purple Line maintenance facilities adopted a Visual Intelligent Disaster Prevention System, featuring GKB's Video Fire Detection System (VFDS). This system employs advanced AI-powered image recognition technology to detect flames and smoke during the early stages of a fire. It promptly alerts management, significantly reducing risks of damage to MRT vehicles and infrastructure. Moreover, in the event of a disaster, first responders can access live on-site footage immediately. This allows them to assess facility layouts, plan rescue routes, and minimize potential losses effectively.
